After the end of the incognito year of the Pandavas, they all got back to their unique forms. They were embellished with luxurious adorns and garments. They sat on the thrones of kings in the Virata king's court. When Virata reached his court as regular for performing his duties, he observed the game entertainer, cook, caretakers, and Arjuna there. King asked Kanka how could he take the place of a king as he used to be just a game entertainer. Arjuna elaborated on the generosity of Yudhishthira there and referred to him to be the most deserving person on the throne. Then he gave all his brother's introductions alongside himself. King was astonished to hear such. Arjuna additionally mentioned to the king related to their incognito year of exile period. Then Prince Uttar informed his father regarding the war and the Debaduta person who had defeated the Kauravas and Karna during the Virata war, was none other than Arjuna himself. He also defined the glory of brave Arjuna along with his brothers to Virata king. Virata was thrilled to be aware that he was rescued by Pandavas twice throughout the battle with Trigarta king Susharma and the war with Kauravas.

Virata was extremely blissful to see Pandavas there and he hugged all of them out of happiness. He then requested Arjuna to marry his daughter Princess Uttara. However, he chose Uttara for his son Abhimanyu there.

While explaining the purpose behind not accepting Uttara as his very own wife, Arjuna stated that "I as Brihannala taught dancing to princess Uttara for one year and considered her as my daughter only. consequently, it is no longer feasible for me to consider her as my wife now." Arjuna then told the king related to his and Subhadra's mighty son Abhimanyu. King gladly agreed to him.

King Virata invited Vasudeva; father of Lord Krishna, Abhimanyu, Lord Krishna, Balarama, Devi Subhadra, Satyaki, and Kritavarma along with all their relatives to the kingdom. Mighty king Drupada; father of Draupadi additionally joined the ceremony alongside his few armies. All of them were welcomed by King Virata respectfully. Draupadi was embellished with many stunning jewellery and ornaments. Princess Uttara was decorated by Jayanti; the daughter of Deity King Indra. Mighty Abhimanyu married lovely Uttara there.
