Durvasa sage tests the patience of Mudgal, Debaduta elaborates on Heaven and Mudgal denies Debaduta going to heaven
I went via the story of sage Mudgal of Kurukshetra, we hardly ever recognize him. He was once an exceptional sage who had denied going to heaven and later attained Sanatana moksa. When Pandavas moved to the Kamya forest from the Dvaita forest they met with Vyasa. Sage Vyasa had stated Mudgal and the value of charity to the Pandavas which I will explain right here in a nutshell.
Mudgal used to be a spiritual and straightforward sage. He had a spouse and a son. He accumulated grains in a drona or pot for fifteen days to function yajna. All the Deities alongside Indra participated in such yajna. The sage offered rice to the deities and the guests. After all, had their part, He consumed the Leftover rice. This was how the sage used to do usually for a living. Since he was a pious sage, He used to do charity, shradh, pujas, rituals, and so on with the accumulated grains. After doing his non-secular duties, he used to feed his family with the remaining grains and a great factor about the Rishi was that he solely took that much-fallen grain that was needed for him in a day. This was a miracle like Akshaya Patra of Draupadi.
One day Sage Durvasa heard about Saint Mudgal and wished to test him. He disguised himself as a mad sarcastic individual and visited Mudgal. He welcomed Durvasa out of hospitality and presented his food. Durvasa ate scrumptious rice. Mudgal gave him extra food. Durvasa completed the whole of it, put the rest of it on his body, and left from there. Likewise, throughout the festival, Durvasa came once more and ate all of the food. Mudgal was ravenous for food. Neither he was irritated nor scared in this situation. He began collecting rice again. In order to make the sage lose his patience and religion, Durvasa visited him six times throughout the festival and ate the entire meal from the pot. But Durvasa ought to see a little bit of hesitation in Mudgal's mind. The sage was duty full and reverent. Durvasa was thrilled with him. He showered his blessings and additionally stated to him that Mudgal had control over his starvation and fed the visitor with all his heart. Durvasa informed him that he had never viewed such a serene sage before and he deserved to acquire heaven.

That moment Debaduta reached there with his stunning Vimana close to Mudgal sage. He instructed Mudgal that he had accomplished a place in
heaven due to the fact of his goodness.
Debaduta informed him that, "those who are religious, devoted, nicely-behaved and righteous character who performs yajnas and has control over his senses gain a place in heaven. Deities, sages, Gandharvas, and apsaras all continue to be in a number of lokas in heaven. No one gets hungry or thirsty there. In heaven, there are no diseases, no pain, no suffering, no attachments, and no fear. Everything is peaceful, beautiful, fragrant, auspicious, and attractive there. No one is born from their parents, they continue to be as per their holiness. People do not sweat, they do not get dirty. There are Divya lokas above the lokas of deities. Brahma Loka stays above all. Brahma resides there. Only sacred and saintly Ascetics go there. Brahma Loka is recognized as Parambrahma. People who engross themselves in meditation, have control over pleasure and suffering, and do not maintain any pride inside can attain it there. In heaven, there is no demise or dislike among people. Coming towards the faults, humans whose good karmas are finished fall from heaven. That downfall makes humans lose their minds and senses seeing that they lose heavenly felicity. They get birth as human beings on the earth for their appropriate acts. Those who do not operate their responsibilities as people later get birth in lower yonis or no longer as humans. "
Then Debaduta requested him to travel to heaven gladly. Mudgal denied going with him. He advised him that he did no longer desire to go to heaven.
He informed Debaduta that, "human beings after falling from heaven, remain right here on the earth only." Hence he saw off Debaduta and went to perform his obligations as usual. He did meditation and engaged his thinking in Gyana yoga and obtained the Sanatana moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
